Just adding a little review of the pro 160 for those interested. After being on the water several times riding and fishing and using the boat I'd have to say that it was an experience. After running the Hydro sport 18 ft with the Suzuki 150 for years the pro 160 was a big let down. (LOL) Now that being said the Pro 160 runs and handles extremely well, with two people in the boat I've had it up to about 34 mph and it plains well and handles good.

The boat is set up to run a 40hp max hp but originally comes standard with a 25hp which we decided to up grade to the 40 mercury and I do believe that is the way to go if anyone has this boat in mind. The 45 pound Minn Kota Edge also does a good job but in my opinion could be a little much for the 16ft boat but if you keep the speed setting down to two maybe three it's ok. It also has a 9 gallon live well and a good amount of storage for your tackle and rods.

Now most Bass boats come standard with carpet on the decks and when I first look at the 160 I couldn't believe that I was looking at Heavy grade vinyl decks, the sides were carpet along with several other locations in the boat and when I asked the sales person about it he informed me that the vinyl was an up grade over the carpet decks, it supposedly cost between two and three hundred more for the vinyl.  The vinyl does have  its advantages though, I like the fact that it's a lot easier to clean and take care of then the carpet. Just vacuum real quick and wipe with a wet cloth it real easy compared to the carpet.

Now all this being said, this boat doe not have a lot of bells and whistles and if you are just interested in going fishing and relaxing while your on the water and are on a budget this boat would be an excellent choice. It will get you where you want to go and back with no problem, but if your looking to do some serious fishing and not on a budget and want a little more tournament ready boat I would recommend the Pro 175 or even the 195. You'll get the boat you need without the 50 or 60k price tag.
